OUR HISTORY

Farmácia Estácio, founded in 1883 in Rossio by Emílio Estácio, a pharmacist who graduated from the University of Coimbra, is a historic landmark in Lisbon. Currently located in Restauradores, in the heart of the city, the pharmacy has a team recognized for its ability to communicate effectively with different cultures, reflecting the diversity of the community it serves.

True to the century-old tradition of its founders, Farmácia Estácio remains committed to serving its users with humanity, knowledge and competence, and is a reference pharmacy in the community in which it operates. Its objective is clear: to promote accessibility for users to differentiated services, fully assuming its role as a public health agent.

The pharmacy offers a variety of services in a discreet and convenient way, including the measurement of blood pressure and various biochemical parameters, as well as nutrition, podiatry, physiotherapy, massage and acupuncture services. It also offers tests such as fecal occult blood testing and the detection of oropharyngeal and urinary infections, essential tools for early detection of pathologies and the promotion of the rational use of antibiotics.

With extensive experience in seasonal flu vaccination, Farmácia Estácio also stands out in the administration of other vaccines and injectables, being a pioneer in testing and vaccination against COVID-19.

The pharmacy also offers expert advice on dermo-cosmetics, rental services and the purchase of orthopedic equipment, as well as home deliveries. Committed to environmental preservation, it participates in programs such as VALORMED and actively contributes to social actions through initiatives such as the Pharmaceutical Bank and the ABEM Program's drug solidarity network, to which it is a permanent contributor.
