Inaugurated in 2024, in the service area that connects Lisbon to Cascais, the A5 Oeiras Pharmacy is led by Dr. Maria João Duarte, managing partner. The A5 Oeiras Pharmacy is keeping up to speed and the proof of this is the incredible pace at which it operates. Located in a freeway zone, the A5 Oeiras Pharmacy is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and functions as a true point of continuous care.
The A5 Clinic, adjacent to the pharmacy, offers medical consultations without an appointment, daily nursing services, clinical analysis, tests such as MAP, Holter and electrocardiogram, as well as the usual dispensing of medicines and pharmaceutical advice. Shee (Ecosystem of pharmacies, clinics and diagnostic units) and Joaquim Chaves Saúde offer the population four different services in one place: Pharmaceutical Services, Appointments, Nursing, Tests (clinical analysis and cardiology tests).
The partnership with the Joaquim Chaves Saúde laboratory - installed in the space - allows all this to happen quickly, safely and with high clinical quality. The great innovation of this model lies in the integration of services: the user can carry out their clinical analysis or laboratory tests at the Joaquim Chaves Saúde collection point and then go to the pharmacy to get advice, buy medication or continue their therapeutic follow-up. The response is immediate, complete and provided by teams that communicate with each other, ensuring that the experience is fluid and person-centered.
The space has the following facilities: Pharmacy, consultations on the hour and without an appointment, between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., by a specialist doctor, and a Nursing Service, between 7 a.m. and midnight. As for complementary diagnostic tests, the population has access to clinical analysis (Monday to Friday, between 7am and 8pm; Saturday from 7am to 1pm) and cardiology tests (between 7am and midnight), such as electrocardiograms. Drive-in 24 hours a day 24 hours a day, every day of the year, with a drive-in system, ALSO allowing you to pick up medicines during the night.
The unit is equipped with direct parking and easy access, designed for users with reduced mobility or demanding schedules. Releasing pressure from the NHS The link between primary care, examinations and pharmacy makes it possible to release pressure from the National Health Service and provide an immediate response to those who need frequent monitoring or face simple but urgent clinical situations.
